J.O.Y.

A simple three letter word yet a profound concept, feeling and biblical truth to grasp.
What does it mean exactly to be "joyful"?

How does one be joyful when every human embedded emotion in his system steers towards disappointment, sadness, discouragement and heartache?

God nudged me in my thoughts and my spirit as I contemplated about this. He reminded me that it's not so much of the joy-moment that is seemingly so important to us that matters most but it's the Joy-Giver that should matter most.
When we begin to build a strong relationship with God and grow to "delight in the Lord", no longer will the circumstances around us dictate the joy in our heart, mind and spirit but it is in WHO we know that dictates our joy.

Honestly, I still can't fully comprehend. My human emotions are constantly in tension with the spirit. But I guess, that's how we grow :) May God teach all of us what it means to truly be joyful.

profound insight. That our joy should be based on the joyGIVER rather than our circumstances.
