Control

Tuesday, July 27, 2010

This morning devotion spoke on this word called "control". It's something I believe many of us can relate to. At every phase of our lives, no matter where we are, we constantly struggle to be in control of what's going on about and in us. Just as God reminded me this morning how I should respond to Him and not react when things go out of control, I hope this devotion will nudge you in your circumstance as well.

Control

Today's Promise
"For the LORD is God, and he created the heavens and earth and put everything in place. He made the world to be lived in,
not to be a place of empty chaos. "I am the LORD," he says,
"and there is no other".
Isaiah 45: 18

Today's Thought
Sooner or later we all face situations beyond our control. But even when you find yourself in unpredictable, uncontrollable, frustrating circumstances, there is still one thing you can control:

Your reaction to the situation.

You can trust God to work in your life and bring order, hope and peace out of chaos.

Today's Plan
How would fully trusting in God's control affect your response to uncontrollable circumstances in your life?

"I am the LORD," he says, "and there is no other".
