I was in Alor Setar for the past 2 days!
It's a place I always wanted to check out how ever dead I heard stories about it...
Being the curious cat that I am, I still wanted to go look see look see...
Soooooo, I grabbed the chance when a good friend called up seeking help from me...
I packed my bag and off I went to the land of padi fields!!
Let me tell you that Alor Setar is not as near as you'd think it to be from Penang.
It was close to a 2 hours drive. Then again, I'm a slow driver... Hehe...
Better safe than sorry riiiight? ;)
Since I was there, I made sure I explored Alor Setar inside out...
Go to places that are happening... If there are any lar... Haha.
Eh... Don't pray pray ok... Alor Setar built their very own KL Tower ok....
So you people don't go look down on Alor Setar k... Keke...
I ended up at this really cool looking museum... one of its kind...
Fancy any guess what kind of museum this is?

Inilah jawapannya...
It's a freaking Muzium Padi!!!
I've heard of all kinds of museum before but this, this is definitely the first.
But seriously, it's really cool...
You get to see old school bicycle.... Hehe...
You want any brand of rice also goooooot wan....
And of course, you get to fool around... Haha...
But the one place I really wanted to go check out was actually the padi fields.
I know lar, I jakun... Hehe...
But I mean come on man, if you're in Alor Setar and you don't go to the padi fields it equates to you being in Penang but never go whack the famous cendol and char kuey teow...
The sad thing however was that the monsoon season juuuuuuust started.
Darn.
It was rainy on both days... Crap.
Buuuuuuuuuuuuuuuut persistency paid off...
The evening before I left, the weather turned out to be quite fine.
Thank God.
It's soooooooooo green it freaks me out.
As we walked down this road, both sides of the path were filled with padi fields after padi fields, green in its freshness laid out like a huge blanket from heaven over a vast fertile land, almost as if it reaches beyond the horizon.
Beautiful.
Besides, I thought it would be the best place for my friend to pour his heart out to me... and Him.
What better place than being in the centre of God's creation.
In his struggle, he was reminded of God's amazing power through nature.
He said this to me,
A reminder that life is still beautiful no matter what,
Green shows the freshness of life...
A beautiful tomorrow"
Fuh!
Powerful wei... It was simple and yet it spoke so much of thoughts.
My replied to him?
I said this,
and be reminded that
God is Amazing...
No matter what."
Here's a nice shot of that evening for you, bro...
Hang in there, dude.
